Non Contact Infared Pyrometers

The Process Sensors range of non contact process pyrometers consists of three product ranges, each designed to meet the demands of todays applications.

Metius Self Contained Pyrometer

 The Metis “Self Contained” series of IR Pyrometers was developed for precision on-line process temperature measurement applications. By utilizing digital signal processing, the Metis series exceeds standard analog pyrometers as far as accuracy, repeatability and wide temperature ranges are concerned.

Precision, adjustable focusable optics allows the Metis to pinpoint very small targets and features advanced sighting capabilities such as through the lens, laser or video. A variety of spectral responses are available for addressing the needs for specific temperature measurement applications. i.e.: Metals, Glass, Semiconductor, Vacuum, Ceramics, Plastics, Composites, etc.

Sirius Compact Pyrometer

The Sirius line of Pyrometers was developed to meet the growing demand for small, compact and easy-to-install sensors with first-class optical and electronic characteristics. Sirius-Pyrometers provide digital/analog outputs and operate at short wavelengths, therefore are an excellent choice for measurement of ferrous and non-ferrous metals above 250°C.

These pyrometers offer adjustable focus optics and are exceptionally robust due to the fact that the self contained IR sensor has no mechanical moving parts, and because the lens, detector and electronics are contained in a stainless steel IP65 housing. By utilizing digital signal processing, the Sirius line exceeds standard analog pyrometers as far as precision and repeatability are concerned.

Optical Alignment: Aiming of the pyrometer on the measured object is facilitated by a precise laser spot, which indicates the center of the target area. The optical axis is aligned with the mechanical axis of the sensor housing. The laser can be switched on via a laser button on the interconnecting cable by a remote contact or from the PSC Win software.

The Models PSC-CS, -CMS, -SSS and -SSS-Laser are ideal for OEM applications in terms of size, pricing, digital/analog/sighting capabilities and product features.

The PSC-CS “self contained” digital pyrometer offers bidirectional communication, silicone optics and the most advanced features offered by any economical sensor available today.

The models PSC-CMS and PSC-SSS feature the same small size sensor head dimensions while the Model PSC-SSS-Laser offers dual lasers for precision aiming with high resolution optics.
